Our office undertakes the preparation of land purchase studies.
The specific program subsidizes the loan interest rate for the purchase of agricultural land near the place of permanent residence of the interested party and at such a distance that there is the possibility of daily access, which aims at one or a combination of the following:
- The creation of sustainable agricultural exploitation.
- The acquisition of parcels of land that interfere with the existing agricultural holding or border an existing privately owned parcel of land.
- Making an investment within two years of joining the program which will have a positive financial result when considered independently.
Beneficiaries
Young farmers, permanent residents of rural areas.
Subsidy rate
The amount of the subsidy is 100% for residents of mountainous and disadvantaged areas and 70% for residents of normal areas.
Commitments
The duration of the commitments is 10 years. Beneficiaries commit to:
- to maintain the status of a farmer.
- to remain permanent residents of rural areas.
- to retain possession of the parcel of land for the which were subsidized.
- to facilitate the controls of its Services Ministry and the Prefectural Self-Government.
- to pay the interest-relieving installments on time.
*In the case of new entrants young farmers undertake the obligation to carry out at least 150 hours of training.
Consequences of breaching the above commitments
- refund of the amounts that have been collected as paid in arrears and any delinquent installments are converted into overdue installments.
- in case of a false declaration, in addition to criminal and other sanctions, exclusion for a period of 10 years from any form of aid.
